Hand-carved soapstone box features a pair of majestic African giraffes at dusk on the removable lid.
Fairly traded and handmade in Kenya out of local soapstone by skilled master carvers who create each item by hand using basic hand tools. The design is etched out with a knife, then hand-painted with water based color dyes. A clear wax hand-finish gives shine and character to each piece.
Created one at a time, no two are alike.
A great box to stow jewelry, trinkets, stamps, office supplies, and other odds and ends. Also make a great accent piece.
