Shipping & Returns
We ship using a variety of carriers including the US Postal Service, FedEx and UPS as well as offering in-store or curbside pickup service. Please read below for more details on the services we offer.
In-Store: Please wait until you receive an email indicating the status of your order is "Ready for Pickup". Then, please visit dia.org to learn about reserving your timed entry to museum during COVID-19.
Curbside: Please wait until you receive an email indicating the status of your order is "Ready for Pickup." Curbside service is available between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Please go to the Curbside service location by parking on the John R. semi-circular drive and, once parked, call 313-833-7944 to have your package(s) brought to you.
Standard Shipping & Rates: You can expect the DIA Shop to fulfill and dispatch your order within 1 to 4 business days from date of purchase. Delivery times vary, but it is reasonable to expect delivery of domestic shipments within 4 to 8 days from date of purchase. Rates vary, beginning at $7.99 and up, based on the contents of your order and the destination. Prices include packaging, handling and postage.
Bulk Orders and Oversized Items: In rare cases, some over-sized or multiple-carton orders may incur extra shipping charges. You will be contacted by a customer service representative if your shipment exceeds the calculated shipping quote.
Expedited Shipping & Rates: Expedited services have been temporarily suspended.
International Shipments: The recipient of international shipments is responsible for customs duties or fees levied by the destination country or tax authority. Recent border closures have caused significant delays to shipments bound for international destinations. Please note the following interruptions to international services. Therefore, the DIA Shop has temporarily restricted shipping to destinations outside of the United States.
- As of January 1, 2021 shipping to the United Kingdom has been temporarily suspended.
- As of July 1, 2021, shipping to the EU has been temporarily suspended.
- As of July 12, 2021 shipping to Canada has been temporarily suspended.
- As of July 12, 2021 shipping to all other international destinations has been temporarily suspended.

Returns & Exchanges
We expect that you will love your DIA Shop purchase. If, however, you would like to return or exchange an item, please return it to us, in saleable condition, within 60 days for a refund or store credit or let us know if you'd like to exchange it. Shipping and processing charges are not refundable. Gift Cards are nonrefundable.
