This poncho, in brown and turquoise hues, is dyed by hand using shibori technique, a traditional Japanese technique to dye fabric. Beside the silk dyeing, the silk undergoes cross-hatched pleating, discharging colors, and hand painting. When flattened the silk presents a pattern of unique and intriguing color mix. Designed by Sharon Wang and Min Chiu, based in Troy, Michigan.
