This journal was custom designed by the DIA for the exhibition, James Barnor: Accra / London - A Retrospective, which runs from May 28 – October 15, 2023. This exhibition is a comprehensive survey of the work of British-Ghanaian photographer James Barnor (b. 1929) whose career as a studio portraitist, photojournalist and Black lifestyle photographer spans six decades and records major social and political changes in London and Accra.

The journal's cover features Barnor's photograph of Ghanaian featherweight boxing contender Roy Ankrah during training, Accra, 1951, (printed 2017).
