Ray Eames (1912–1988) was an influential American artist and designer. Together with her husband, Charles Eames, she transformed architecture, furniture, textiles, graphic design, and film, making the Eameses one of the most influential design partnerships of the 20th century.
Ray had a heightened awareness of how an object related to everything else around it; while working within the constraints of the materials, she would test out ideas to see what worked best for specific projects. This greeting card, hand embellished with fine glitter, celebrates that very idea.
