Nefertiti, whose name means "a beautiful woman has come," was the queen of Egypt and wife of Pharaoh Akhenaten during the 14th century B.C. In this bust, she wears her blue crown which has a golden diadem band looped around it like horizontal ribbons that cross at the back. This diadem is the inspiration for these earrings.
