The kingfisher is a stocky bird with a straight pointy beak. As their name states, they are expert fish catchers and watching them in action is sight to be seen! Use this miniature sculpture on a shelf, desk or table top as a decorative accent.
Using the seedpods of the Ulumbu Tree (Sterculia rogersii), Zimbabwean artists have created these charming kingfishers. Standing on hand twisted wire feet with putty beaks, they are hand-painted in the rich bright colors of each bird's plumage.
