Description

Custom designed for the Detroit Institute of Arts!

Bring an industrious spirit to your home or office with this framed cork bulletin board which was inspired by the North Wall of the Detroit Industry Murals by Mexican muralist Diego Rivera. The Detroit Industry fresco cycle was conceived by Mexican muralist Diego Rivera (1886–1957) as a tribute to the city's manufacturing base and labor force of the 1930s. Rivera completed the twenty-seven panel work in nine months, from July 1932 to March 1933. It is considered the finest example of Mexican mural art in the United States, and the artist thought it the best work of his career.

This bulletin board, made of quality cork, has a full color image of the North Wall which was applied using a digital printing process directly onto the 1 quarter inch "self-healing" cork for a soft, smooth finish. The cork is backed with sturdy 1 quarter inch thick, medium-density fiberboard.

It comes with a beautiful 1.25" ribbed walnut-stained oak frame.

Two hooks for hanging are preassemebled on the back.

Beautiful gift for yourself and for gift giving!
