This design for this tile representing Detroit life was designed by Mary Stratton, circa 1915-17. It features the original wooden Belle Isle Bridge with the caption "Life Is Worth Living In Detroit." The symbols in the four corners represent Construction, Industry, Nautical Traffic, and Agriculture, the four cornerstones of Detroit business.
