Called the "first lady of civil rights," Rosa Parks is known for her pivotal role in sparking the U.S. civil rights movement. She moved to Detroit from Alabama in 1957. There, she was a member of the staff of Michigan Congressman John Conyers, Jr. and remained an active member of the NAACP. Parks received numerous awards, including the Presidential Medal of Freedom (1996) and the Congressional Gold Medal (1999).

Approximately 4 inches tall.
