This necktie pays homage to the textile design "Rose and Teardrop" by Charles Rennie Mackintosh (1868-1928) who designed it in London between 1915 and 1923 when he did many commissions for modern textile manufacturers. Mackintosh was Scotland’s most famous architect and designer who incorporated elements of ancient Celtic and Japanese art into his decorations and furniture. He was a prominent figure in the Art Nouveau movement.
