This exquisite marquis shaped pendant, topped with a shimmering amethyst, is a loving homage to Vincent Van Gogh, who painted these irises in 1890. He sought a “harmonious and soft” effect when he began this painting, which glows with an array of blues, purples and greens. The painting that inspired this necklace once hung in Van Gogh’s mother’s house. Today, its home is The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
