Treat yourself or a friend to a coloring book with the quality of the finest artists’ pads.
This fine art coloring book contains 16 sheets of superior acid-free drawing paper, printed with exceptional drawings and woodblock prints of Katsushika Hokusai (1760–1849), a Japanese artist of the Japan Edo period, about AD 1829-33, in very light lines. Hokusai is one of Japan’s most revered artists. Hokusai’s print series Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji, published between c. 1830 and 1834 is the artist’s most renowned work and, with its soaring peak through different seasons and from different vantage points, marked the towering summit of the Japanese landscape print. The series Under the Wave off Kanagawa, also known simply as The Great Wave, is one of the most recognized images of Japanese art in the world.
The printing is done in such a way that, depending on the techniques used, the original outline will be hardly visible after coloring.
The 180 gsm drawing paper is made to our specifications by one of the best paper mills in Europe and is suitable for a wide range of coloring applications, including pencil, crayon, pastel, felt marker, gouache, etc. Watercolors and liquid inks can also be used. The fine art paper has a long life and colored sheets can be framed and displayed without the risk of rapid deterioration.
They are perfectly suited to practice your coloring skills and create beautiful pieces at the same time.
