The Coonley Blocks Cotton Rug marries form and function bringing comfort to your home in cool mid-century modern style.

The design, by the iconic architect Frank Lloyd Wright, appears on the exterior ceramic frieze of the Coonley House in Riverside, Illinois.

Created in 1908, it is an early example of geometric abstraction of natural forms in Wright’s work. This sprawling Prairie Style home, conceived in the midst of the high Victorian era, remains one of the prime examples of Wright’s innovative approach to home design. The estate, designed on a grand scale, included sunken gardens, a gardener’s cottage, and a coach house, in addition to the expansive main house.

This hand-loomed rug makes a great gift for an architect, an architecture aficionado, or of course for yourself!
