Description

With his commission to paint four walls of an open air courtyard at the Detroit Institute of Arts, Mexican artist Diego Rivera (1886-1957) created what he considered his finest work. Produced over eleven months during 1932 and 1933, they are the largest and most complex work of the Mexican muralist movement in America.

Today, the courtyard, known as Rivera Court, is a covered space that delights locals as well as visitors from around the world.

This poster depicts the entire North Wall of the series of frescoes titled Detroit Industry.
