Inspired by an Italian pearwood, ebony and alabaster cabinet in the collection of the Detroit Institute of Arts, this hand-painted ornament is a one-of-a-kind memento depicting a leaping stag, one of several creatures making up the scene of "Orpheus playing to the animals."
The release of this ornament in 2021 marks the sixth year of the collectible ornament series, with each ornament inspired by art in the DIA's collection.
Each ornament is hand-painted on the inside of the glass; each one a unique result of the artist’s hand.
