The splendid wooden coffin portrayed by this pin belonged to Henettawy, "mistress of the house and chantress of Amun-Re" (Third Intermediate Period, Dynasty 21, ca. 1040–992 B.C.). It was created at a time when the art of Egyptian coffin decoration was at its height.
