These post earrings are inspired by a detail in the rug designs of George Niedecken who worked with Frank Lloyd Wright to decorate the Meyer May House. The house is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan and was built in 1908-09.
These earrings are made of solid brass, then electro-plated with hematite finish, hand enameled, and gave pale green glass beads. The posts are plated hematite.
