Founded in 1903, Detroit-based Pewabic Pottery still uses period glazes in the making of their art tiles and art pottery that honor the original Arts & Crafts movement to which they belonged. Nawal Motawi, who got her start at Pewabic, founded Motawi Tileworks in Ann Arbor, Michigan and has developed her own style using rich glazes and designs inspired by art, nature and architecture. You'll find designs based on the works of Charley Harper, Frank Lloyd Wright and others alongside signature collections designed by Nawal herself.
